Liverpool could make €12M from the sale of Federico Chiesa according to the latest report.
The Reds have been active in the summer transfer window with the addition of some players to the first-team squad.
Liverpool have added the likes of Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez to the squad that won the title last season.
But there has been a few departures also.
Liverpool sanctioned the sale of Jarell Quansah and Caoimhín Kelleher, while Trent Alexander-Arnold also left on a ‘free transfer’ to Real Madrid.
The right-back’s transfer to the Spanish capital fetched the club around €10 million, taking the total money received from Liverpool this summer to about €10 million (according to Transfermrket).
That total earning from sales could rise considerably if Liverpool complete the sale of Federico Chiesa.
This is according to the latest report from Sports Italia, which claims that Serie A side Atalanta are mulling over a move for Chiesa.
According to the report, the Serie A giants want to replace Ademola Lookman with Chiesa, with Liverpool set to ‘contribute’ to the attacker’s wages at Bergamo.
“After the potential sale of Lookman to Inter for no less than €50 million, Atalanta is considering a move for Federico Chiesa,” the report said.
“Percassi (Atalanta’s president) would bring him back to Italy for €12 million, and Liverpool would substantially contribute to his wages.
Liverpool is reportedly willing to cover around 50% of his salary.”
